Today you will read your 2017 Research and Write essay that you wrote for homework in groups of about four people. After that you will start 2018 so please download and print out the worksheets from the previous blog post.

Notice about portfolios
The purpose of the portfolio is to show proof of participation in class. However, it has been noticed recently that some students do little talking in class. Instead they quietly spend all their energy on making their portfolios look as if they are working hard. This is tantamount to fraud and will not improve your English. As a consequence, the portfolio assessment has been replaced by continuous assessment. In other words, I will judge you directly by your participation. I will also ask to see your portfolio as well but it will be not the sole criterion for assessment.
